Pink Day (Stand Up Day) went very well! A lot of people wore pink! I was glad to see that :) Thank you to all of the people who let their inner-pink shine, today! You promoted standing up and that is very well appreciated.

We had a flash mob in school today, an Anti-Bullying Flash mob. My dance teacher's older group danced for us. It was really cool! :)
For some Anti-Bullying Flash-Mobs, look at the links below:

I just heard something about Facebook.
IF YOU HAVE FACEBOOK, YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT YOUR SETTINGS ARE NOT PRIVATE ALL THE TIME. ON THE TERMS OF USE, IT SAYS THAT THEY CAN USE YOUR PROFILE PIC, OR NAME OR ANYTHING ON YOUR FACEBOOK AND DO WHATEVER THEY WANT WITH IT. I CANNOT BELIEVE I ACCEPTED FACEBOOK. FOR AN EXAMPLE OF THIS, LOOK BELOW:
Say that you posted a pic of you with a silly face, and Facebook decided they wanted to make a book about it, they can take your pic and info and it goes in a book like that.
Life isnt private anymore....

:D

Pink Day is tomorrow (Feb. 29th)! EVERYONE should wear Pink. I was helping my friends make posters at school today, about standing up. You should to. But one rule: Dont mention the word "Bullying" in the poster because it draws attention to the bullies. Below, I have a pic of my "I WILL STAND UP" T-Shirt, that i got for helping out. Isnt it cool?

How to deal with rumors:
(I got this on Wiki How)
  • At the first sign of gossip, stop it casually and politely. Be aggressive only if the person continuously persists.
  • Rumors usually begin with what was a simple truth, and by the time you hear it's most likely a complete lie.
  • Some rumors are completely childish, especially in elementary/middle school. They can be small and easy to deal with (such as likes someone, namely something like Joe likes Susan) that usually die out, or it can be something big (such as disgusting things, namely something like wears/fills diapers in school). Small ones are easier to deal with, as they can be quickly stopped if you stop whoever is spreading the rumors. The example of Joe likes Susan is easily stopped by talking to Joe/Susan, and stopping them. Big rumors are a lot harder to deal with, as your entire grade/class/school might know them.
  • Don't stress about this rumor; if someone was to make fun, just laugh at them and say to yourself. "They're so stupid to believe in this childish behavior."
  • If you are a victim of a rumor and you know the rumor isn't true, the best thing to do is to set the truth out there, meaning you have to get up in class or work to announce the truth so that the rumor ends.put the liar in the spot light. do not let them take control of you. they have no right to tell lies about you.(if your at school, don't be afraid to talk about the situation with the dean, or whoever takes care of things like this, it really does help, and it serves justice!)

February 29th is some sort of stand up day so, from now, until then, I will be posting about bullying. These things will tell you:
  • How to deal with rumors
  • How to stand up
  • How to tell an adult
  • Examples of types of bullying
So on my other post there will be one or two of all of these.
